You're invited to a Zumba Fitness party to raise money for the Cancer Council's Relay for Life. Get a group of friends together for a fun night out and shake your booty for a great cause because everyone knows there ain't no party like a Zumba Fitness party.
The Zumba Fitness Party Fundraiser is being organised by Relay for Life's Team Woodsea, a family whose lives have been profoundly affected by cancer. In fact, two members are currently fighting the disease and so Team Woodsea relay to support, remember, and celebrate the lives of loved ones touched by cancer.
You too can fight back against cancer by joining the Zumba Fitness Party, Team Woodsea's major fundraising event. The 90 minute Zumba Fitness class will be taught by Judy James, one of Adelaide's favourite Zumba instructors, who will lead a fun and easy to follow dance-based work out to music that will make you want to move.
It's on Friday, April 11, 2014 from 7 pm until 8.30 pm in the Port Noarlunga Primary School gym. Doors open at 6.30 pm and the gym is accessible from Anderson Avenue where there is plenty of car parking available. Your age, gender, and number of left feet do not matter as the class is designed for all levels of fitness, experience, and coordination. Tickets cost $20 each and a limited amount will be available at the door on the night, but it's best to pre-purchase your tickets to confirm your place.
You'll need to wear suitable workout clothes, comfortable shoes, bring a bottle of water, and gather up your loose change because a raffle will be held on the night. Prizes donated so far include a massage voucher from Beauty Boutique by Gemma, a box of gorgeous macarons from the The Fleurieu Kitchen, and bottles of wine. All proceeds from the raffle and ticket sales will benefit the Cancer Council.
Please contact KheShan at email@example.com to purchase your tickets and for more details about the Zumba Fitness Party Fundraiser. You can also join the Facebook page to stay up-to-date on the event. If you can't make it on the night, but still wish to contribute, please visit the Team Woodsea Relay for Life fundraising page to make a donation.
For those that don't know, the Relay for Life is an overnight relay challenge that raises vital funds for the Cancer Council's research, prevention, education, and support services. Relay for Life events are held at various locations nation-wide, but Team Woodsea, along with hundreds of other teams, will be participating from Saturday, May 3 until Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the Adelaide Showground in Wayville.
It's an incredible effort as the teams need to keep their baton continuously in motion by walking or running around a track for 19 hours. There are activities and ceremonies held during the event to help keep everyone motivated and moving, including entertainment by Adelaide's favourite acoustic party band The Vibes. It's not too late to register a team, head to the Relay for Life website to find out how.
