What better way to enjoy a summer's night than watch your favourite artist live and have the lush surrounds of Melbourne Zoo all to yourself - with a few other Twilight ticket holders of course. All this while you make a difference at this fundraiser. Get your tickets to Zoo Twilights, running from 25 January to 9 March 2019 and fight against wildlife extinction with music. Your dollars will go towards saving a tiny marsupial called the Eastern Barred Bandicoot from extinction. For more FAQs of the event, follow the link.
You need to secure your tickets soon as some of the artists have already sold out and others though sold out, having a 2nd (Hanson) and 3rd show (The Cat Empire) being added. The Hansons have certainly grown up and it's hard to believe it's been 20 years since you saw their fresh faces burst onto the music scene. The Cat Empire will be joined by The Meltdown, who'll add a twist of Melbourne to their Motown style soul.
Gates open at 5.30pm so you'll have ample time to visit the animals before the show. Support Acts will come on stage at 7pm and the Headliner will perform around 8pm. Show wraps up at approximately 9.30pm. If you'd like to make a day of it and visit the Zoo beforehand, you'll need to buy a General Admissionticket at the gate, leave at 5pm when the Zoo closes, then line up again to re-enter at 5.30pm with your Twilights ticket.
No matter where you sit, the venue is equipped with big screens and superb sound, so you'll have a great view all round. The lawn is divided into two main sections with the area closest to the stage for dancing and sitting on the grass or picnic rugs. The back section is for sitting on low-back chairs. You can also pre-purchase a hamper for the ultimate Twilights picnic experience. Check the full menu here. Simply add a hamper when you're buying your tickets.
Taste of Twilights with some of the city's best food trucks and pop-up bars will be back, neighbouring the stage, so you can grab snacks, drinks and street food all night as well. Follow updates on the Facebook page and get interactive on individual event pages.
