The Zephyr Café and Kiosk , located in East Fremantle, has something for everyone. This popular eatery serves breakfast and lunch every day, and is the perfect place to stop for a coffee or a snack.



The Zephyr Café and Kiosk serves breakfast daily between 8am and 11am. The menu contains the usual breakfast item choices such as eggs, pancakes and croissants, plus you can add a side order to your meal for just an extra $5.00.
Some friends and I met up at the Zephyr Café for breakfast a couple of days ago. The place was really busy and, even though the sky was overcast, we chose to sit outside on the deck. It was a lovely morning, a relaxed atmosphere with a great view and delicious food. The Big Breakfast at $21.00 was a huge serving of eggs, bacon, sausage, tomato, mushrooms, hash browns and toast. The Canadian French Toast was interesting, costing $16.00 it consisted of French Toast covered in crispy bacon with a drizzled of maple syrup. You can have eggs, cooked any way you like, with grilled tomato and toast for $12.00 or with bacon for $15.00.

The lunch menu is a little more diverse and is full of tasty meals such as Malay Chicken Curry ($24.00), Veal Scallopini ($26.00) and Chicken & Leek Pie ($22.00). You can also get Fish and Chips ($21.00) or a Seafood Platter ($33.00). Everything on the lunch menu sounded fantastic and I am told each one is as delicious as the next.



There are also a variety of cakes, slices and pastries to choose from, made fresh daily in-house, so you can enjoy a yummy sweet treat with your coffee at any time of day.

There is not a separate kids menu for breakfast but there are plenty of options that kids will like on the main breakfast menu. There is however a small kids lunch menu which includes all the usual favourites - chicken nuggets, fish and chips, wedges or chips, pasta and a Kids Lunch Box Meal (crumbed chicken, kids salad, fruit and a Freddo frog).

An alfresco courtyard dining area has a lovely view, overlooking the river, or you can take your food and sit in the nearby park area or even on the sand near the river. There is a great children's play area, with plenty of lawn space, close by. The play area can easily be seen from the café, so you can keep an eye on the kids as you dine. This makes the Zephyr Café a big favourite for parents with kids.

The Zephyr Café can be booked for private functions between 6pm and 11pm. This is an ideal place for a birthday party or any other special occasion, and can easily accommodate up to 140 people. Their function package includes pretty much everything you need for a successful event, although it is BYO.

The service is fast and friendly, the food is good with generous servings, the coffee is great and there is plenty of parking right outside. The Zephyr Café and Kiosk is open from 8am till 5pm seven days per week.
