Located at 209 Oxford Street, Leederville is Zenith, a contemporary fusion Asian restaurant which incorporates elements of Malaysian, Chinese and Singaporean foods. Up near Richmond Street, Leederville Tafe and the very happening Kitsch Bar, Zenith is not on the main drag of Oxford street but well worth checking out.

The restaurant has been open seven months now. The lovely owners Allan Huang and his wife Youmi work to create a relaxed but vibrant ambience in the medium sized restaurant which has a homely yet upmarket feel. The decor in funky and modern and the food fresh, tasty and cheap.



It has already become a popular spot for local businessman for lunch, the restaurant is fully licensed and there is a large indoor/outdoor area out the back perfect for functions and bigger parties.

The day I went there for lunch, there was four us. We shared three dishes including Zenith's honey prawns and salt and pepper squid. The cost? - Fifteen dollars per head and our party did not go home hungry!



For those who are a little more adventurous quail is also on the menu. Specials include Singaporean Chilli Chicken - a half chicken for $23.80, cooked to perfection in an aromatic flavouring. Tooth Fish for $28.80, cooked Chinese Style or another house speciality is Zenith's Peking duck with plum sauce. Most dishes though are $15- $25 and of generous proportions.

Like I said, you won't go home feeling hungry and like you spent a fortune on good food. Child - friendly also, Zenith is a great place to take the family for an inexpensive but delicious meal.
