I have visited Zarraffa's Coffee about four years ago and I come back very recently together with the Group Hiking South East Qld and More. I was with the group in the Ipswich area to climb Flinders Peak.
After the hike, I decided to revisit Zaraffa's Coffee. It was a warm day but despite that, I craved a hot coffee. The atmosphere inside the cafe was nice. There was a glass case displaying the food items available, the register where the orders are taken and the bench with the big coffee machine. You order the food and you collect the food.
A few hikers sat inside preferring the air conditioning, and most of the group sat outside under the big umbrellas. It was a warm day but it was very pleasant to sit down in the shade of the umbrellas and enjoy a coffee with a cookie.
Zarraffa's Coffee was founded in 1996 by Venton and Rachel Campbell. The company is proudly 100% Australian owned and operated. The head office and roastery is based in Eagleby, a suburb of Brisbane. It was the giraffe that inspired the name of Zarraffa's coffee business. Zarraffa comes from the Arabic word zarafa, which means giraffe.
Zarraffa's Coffee evolved from a roastery to an award-winning enterprise. Today, Zarraffa's coffee is served in many parts of Australia. Zarraffa's aims to produce a perfect and flavoursome cup of coffee every time. Zarraffa's roastery supply all of Zarraffa's coffee stores in Australia. The coffee beans are freshly roasted ready to be enjoyed at the peak of its flavour.
The coffee is grown in Kenya, Ethiopia, Guatemala. Brazil, Costa Rica, Columbia and many other places in the world. Zarraffa has established a trade bond with the countries that produce coffee , meaning every cup of coffee gives back to the international coffee growers, families and communities.
