Love fried food? Then a kroket burger is for you! Claimed as the second most popular Dutch snack after the frikandel, a kroket is a deep-fried roll filled with a meat ragout, covered in breadcrumbs. The traditional Dutch kroket is made from beef or veal, but due to its popularity, other filling varieties such as chicken, shrimp, goulash and vegetarian kroket are now available. You can eat a kroket as a snack on its own, but they are best enjoyed between hamburger buns with mustard on the side.
