If you enjoy Chinese food then Yum Sing restaurant is definitely the place for you. Yum Sing can be found in the suburb of Old Reynella and has been around for over 20 years. The restaurant can cater for large amounts of people and can be quite busy on weekends. The take-away option is also very popular at Yum Sing.
The restaurant has one of the biggest menus I have ever seen with over 115 meal choices separated into simple categories. The categories include pork dishes, sweet and sour dishes, satay dishes, seafood, chicken, duckling, curry, omelette, steak vegetarian, chop suey, rice and noodle dishes and even house specials. There are four choices of banquets offered ranging from $26 to $28 per head. To add even more to the menu there is also an Australian category which includes seafood and children's options.
I was lucky enough to have the banquet when I dined at Yum Sing recently for a birthday which meant that I was able to taste a huge array of dishes that the restaurant has to offer. I was pleased with every single dish that came my way, in particular the Chicken Sweet Corn Soup, Garlic King Prawns, and BBQ Pork.
The service at this restaurant is quick and friendly with staff being particularly attentive towards patrons having a banquet dinner.
Another plus to this restaurant is that if your eyes are bigger than your stomach, the restaurant provides containers which you can fill up with extra food and take home for later. After ordering a large banquet for 5 people we all came home with 4 containers of leftovers to have the next day.
Yum Sing Chinese restaurant offers food to suit all types of food lovers accompanied by friendly staff, and a large enjoyable environment.
