The popular family event Yum Cha in the Park is returning to Perth for its fifth year on Saturday 23 April. From 11am till 7pm, the Northbridge Piazza will once again light up with the hustle and bustle of market style eateries and Chinese themed entertainment.
For those who have never been, Yum Cha is Chinese for "drink tea". Delicious dim sum delicacies like prawn dumplings, fried squid, steamed pork buns and many more sweet and savoury Asian delights are served freshly to you in small wooden steamers. Traditionally, dim sum is washed down with a cup of Chinese Tea.
Several well-known Northbridge Chinese restaurants will be taking their Yum Cha carts to the Piazza. Participating businesses include; Wok St Chow House, Lucky Chan's Laundry, Urban Bowl, Canton Bar, Dragon Palace, Royal Seafood Chinese Restaurant and Noodle Forum.
During the day, there will also be themed roving entertainers as well as entertainment on the big screen, including Chinese TV and film clips. There will also be a Chinese kids movie shown (with subtitles) and a live magic show to keep everyone entertained.
Bring your family down to the lawns of the Piazza to celebrate the finale of Eat, Drink Perth 2016 and enjoy the feast of Asian flavours on show.
