Now in its eighth consecutive year, the Youth Week WA KickstART Festival offers young people aged 12 - 26 an extensive range of free workshops, performances, exhibitions, talks, special events, and new initiatives for 2018.
The Youth Week WA KickstART Festival is presented by Propel Youth Arts WA as part of Youth Week WA and is supported by the State Government of Western Australia, Lotterywest and the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority.
There are varies of things that you can do during the period (13 Apr - 22 Apr ).
Free workshops include but not limited to:
Make up fashion and photography
Visiting the areas of The State Theatre Centre
Making your own kaleidoscope
Drawing bots creation
Meditation
Apart from free workshops, there are also different performance and talks for youth to join, such as:
Drama of The Cockburn Incident
Dance performance by youth dancers
- Music performance in the state library
- Creative industry talks
Last but not least, there is a whole day KickstART festival on 14 April Saturday in Perth Cultural Centre.
This KickstART Festival Day music lineup has been curated by young people to offer something for everyone, spanning genres and cultures, with a diverse lineup of local young emerging artists.
Don't forget they also have a festival closing event on 21 April Saturday again in Perth Cultural Centre, with free music lining up from 4:30pm to 10:00pm.
