Enrolments are now open for Heesom Casting's exciting range of Youth Screen Acting & TV Presenting School Holiday Workshops!

Heesom Casting, South Australia's leading casting agent, have been putting children and adults in Films, TV and TV commercials for over 15 years. Along with casting Feature Films such as Wolf Creek I & II, & recently the Wolf Creek TV Series, they also cast kids Films & TV Series such as Hey Hey It's Esther Blueburger, Sam Fox: Extreme Adventures (Network 10) and The Dragon Pearl.

Held during the school holidays, this series of engaging, educational and interactive workshops are perfect for those who want to learn about acting and presenting, or broaden their existing skills. Suitable for children aged 8 to 17 years and presented in a fun and dynamic environment.

2 DAY SCREEN ACTING WORKSHOP - this fun workshop will see children learn from Actors, Casting Directors and Film Directors over two jam-packed days. In these fun and usually sold-out classes, young stars will receive instruction on:

  • How to present themselves to camera

  • Easy ways to develop their own on-screen character

  • How to approach a film script and make it real

  • The importance of good 'listening skills' when acting

  • The Physical You

  • Your Voice

  • How to nail a winning film audition!

    This course will be held from 9.30am to 4pm on:

    Kids Dates: 2-Day Acting Workshop (Ages 8-12)

    Dates: April 18 & 19 2016 (Mon-Tues)

    Teen Dates: 2-Day Acting Workshop(Ages 13-16)

    Dates: April 28 & 29 2016 (Thurs-Fri)

    TV PRESENTING WORKSHOP - this popular workshop will see children write and shoot their own TV segment. It's ideal for young stars who dream of being an anchor on Totally Wild, the host of their own music show or travelling the world as a Sports Presenter.

    Course Aims:

  • Create a delivery style to suit your own unique personality

  • Fully engage the lens and personalise your work

  • Write your own TV script

  • Deliver your script to the camera

  • Learn the art of walking and talking at the same time

  • Use your voice

  • Choose the right clothes and personal grooming

  • Interviewing techniques

  • Introduction to autocue skills

  • Where to go from here

  • How to best market your abilities

    This course will be held from 9.30am to 4pm on:

    Kids Dates: 3-Day Presenting Workshop (Ages 8-12)

    Dates: April 20 - 22 2016 (Wed-Fri)

    Teen Dates: 2-Day Presenting Workshop (Ages 13-17)

    Dates: April 26 & 27 2016 (Tues-Wed)

    Payment is required to confirm enrolment (credit card preferred)


    3-Day Presenting Workshop: $325 inc gst per student

    2-Day Acting Workshop: $295 inc gst per student

    5-Day Combo Package: $525 inc gst (inc. 1 x 3-Day Presenting & 1 x 2-Day Acting Workshop)


    2-Day Acting Workshop: $295 inc gst

    2-Day Presenting Workshop: $250 inc gst

    4 -Day Combo Package: $420 inc gst (inc 1 x 2-Day Acting Workshop & 1 x 2-Day Presenting Workshop)
