Youth Off The Streets helps the disadvantaged find greatness
Youth Off The Streets is an organisation founded in 1991 by Father Chris Riley AM with a goal to see that no young person obtains the denial of a right to an education, safe accommodation, counselling, drug and alcohol rehabilitation and other supportive services, which are aimed at breaking the cycle of abuse, neglect and disadvantage. The organisation hopes to empower young people to transform their futures, develop new skills on the road to self-discovery through education, confidence and relationships with each other.

Father Chris believes there is no such thing as a "child born bad". There are bad environments, circumstances and family lives that impact negatively on our young. He has worked with disadvantaged youth for more than 40 years in roles such as a teacher, youth worker, probation office, residential carer, principal and CEO.
More than 200 staff are employed at Youth Off The Streets in over 35 programs as well as approximately 400 volunteers. Father Chris has implemented strategies to help youth deal with a history of abuse, neglect and trauma while also aiding disconnected young people to discover the greatness within by providing them with opportunities to facilitate positive life choices.
