The Yarra Valley council have been working on a beautiful summer holiday program for ages 12 – 17 and included in the program is a Manga Workshop.

Wikipedia defines "Manga" as a Japanese word for comic or cartoon/animation. Early Japanese manga animation was heavily influenced by American cartoons of the 1950's such as Betty Boop with her big wide eyes. However, the art of manga has been dated as far back as the twelfth century.

In Japan, every week massive amounts of Manga comics are produced and consumed by millions of Japanese of all ages and gender. With its unique drawing style and genres ranging from romance, action, horror, science fiction, fantasy and more you are sure to find something appealing.
