The City of Mitcham is active in promoting activities for young people in the area, and its latest event is being held on Saturday November 30 at Karinya Reserve in Eden Hills.

From 1.30-7.30 pm there will be free scooter, skate and BMX competitions at the skate park, with live music from a DJ to get everyone into the mood.

A huge outdoor stage has been set up to show off some of our best local youth bands, and the winning performers will receive prizes including free studio time at multi-award winning Mixmasters a playing spot on the main stage at Playing Up plus heaps of tickets to attend Scorcher Fest and Square Peg.

DJ Shep will MC the afternoon and pro riders will judge the skills on show. There will be plenty of free activities and amusements including a massive eight metre rock climbing wall, face painting, an airbrush artist and glitter tattoos.

The Eden Hills Scouts will have plenty of food and drink for sale, so come along and enjoy a great afternoon out for the whole family.
