Enjoy sun, art, food, music and booze at this years Y & O
Yours & Owls festival returns this year bigger and better than the last with over 30 Local and International acts set to grace the 2 stages, plus the beloved art and trippy installations that Y&O's loves.

The Yours & Owls collective started out as a hole-in-the-wall production in a small coffee shop 6 years ago and has since been upgraded to a music venue in the CBD of Wollongong and is now recognised as a big name-worthy event management company producing one of the best line-ups for pre-festival season. Set on Wollongong's beautiful foreshore, this festival has changed the city's relatively quiet music scene into a loud one all with producing incredible art installations and projects to delight any festival lover.

In October 2016, over the Labour Day long weekend (1st & 2nd), the Y & O's event will be headlined by big name acts such as Ball Park Music, DMA's, The Living End, Tkay Maidza, Ladyhawke, Bec Sandridge and so many more. Over 30 local and international artists are set to take stage at this year's event so there is without a doubt a massive variety of genres ranging from hip-hop to folk that all will have someone to look forward to seeing. I've seen a few of the bands that have been announced to play live, and I feel I can wholly say that this festival is something any music lover will definitely not want to miss out on!

As tradition within festivals, Yours & Owls will host a collection of stalls with a great selection of food, drinks & booze for your weekend fuel and festivities. There will also be mind-blowing art plus visual projections and film to amaze your senses and ignite your imagination.

This year's event will be extra special with the debut of the installation of "Moon Beach". Set inside a huge geometric dome, the installation will be set around the planetary and solar system to provide an extra-terrestrial experience. With realistic projections by James Kates & 3 of Australia's most promising electronic artists tailoring the installation's sound, it will be an experience like no one has ever felt before. Yours & Owl's are known to open the minds of their festival goers and give them an amazing festival to match and I for one am looking forward a little too much to see this "Moon Beach" in full speed.

There is no better time than now to get your tickets to Y & O's festival!

1st release went on sale June 20th and has since sold out but never fear, the guys let out a second release that is still on sale until the day before the festival or when this release sells out aswell. You do have to be 18 to attend and tickets are broken up into One Day tickets ($96.20), Weekend Passes ($177.20) and Camping tickets for 3 nights ($106.40).

Yours & Owls, although not as well known as bigger festivals such as Splendour or Falls Festival, is going to be incredible as past reviews state it's one of those events where it has artists of such a well-known status (which brings the crowds) but still maintains that intimate and good vibe that makes any festival amazing. So it's time to start planning your road trip south, north, west (or just asking your boss for a day off to recover) & head to North Wollongong beach for Labour Day weekend and enjoy a festival you will never forget!
