Have you ever been to a book launch? Normally they are staid affairs, listening to the author's journey through the trials and tribulations of putting words on paper (or the computer) deleting them, changing them and coming out the end with something he or she is proud to tell the world about.



Now I am not too sure how this book launch will go. I'm told it will be different. There will be refreshments and you won't be in a bookshop, but almost out in the wilderness surrounded by bushland – well, that is a slightly incorrect description of the venue.



You may find it hard to see a sign indicating you have arrived at the Artisan's Guild Hall - but if you find the Art Gallery on the corner of Old Bay and Maitland Roads, Burpengary East, you should be at the right place. (Pic above might help)



As I am definitely not into athletic anything, I am a bit over-cautious, but I will be going. And I will take my camera just in case I need evidence.

Just what will we have to do? Do we just watch the author perform?



I am sure it will be a lot of fun. Different. Even weird perhaps, as the book is called "Your Kitchen Olympics"….and other remarkable athletic feats.
