Luke Tilse of The Happy Wombat and team have reimagined the old Carrington Place hotel into the vibrant
Young Street Hotel . Since opening early December 2020, they have welcomed a steady stream of customers to their friendly family space. The plan to create a hub for the Carrington community is well underway as the beer garden is such a welcoming meeting space and play area for children and the vibe is friendly, casual and relaxed.
The hotel is divided into two main areas, the front bar with large screen TVs and a 20 tap beer tower. Out the back, there is a large open dining room that spills out into the relaxed family-friendly beer garden. The magnificent central table is 5 metres long and recycled by Luke's cousins from a century-old bridge near Scone.
The
food menu is composed of dishes that utilise the pizza ovens and are perfect to share with friends over drinks. As the venue becomes more established, there are plans for the addition of some pub classics and weekly specials. There is a
drink to suit everyone from craft beer, Hunter wines and cocktails, soft drinks and cider.
They have also revived the

accomodation and rooms are available from $99 a night. The food is tasty, fresh and made from local ingredients by a young enthusiastic chef and her team who can be seen plying their trade in the open kitchen.
Chill out to some live music on weekends whilst you catch up with friends over a pizza at The Young Street Hotel.
