On the roof of one of Melbourne's most recognisable pubs is a bar that looks more like an orchard. The floors are covered in synthetic turf, the walls are adorned with murals of neat lines of apple trees, growing ever smaller to their vanishing point and the furniture looks more like it belongs in the back garden than in a pub.
Cider has been increasing in popularity over the past few years and can now be found on tap in pubs across the country. Boutique breweries are also producing their own distinct variations of the beverage.
There are 10 ciders on tap at Young & Jackson's Cider Bar from Australian and New Zealand craft producers. There are even more bottled varieties to try. During winter there is even a spiced hot apple cider on offer that is like drinking hot apple pie.
The Rooftop Cider Bar is open every day from 10am til late.
