If you love fashion, Melbourne Museum are co-presenting an exhibition which is part of the 2018 Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival.

You Can't Do That will take place at Melbourne Museum from 2 March to 15 July, 2018. It will showcase the careers of Melbourne fashion figures who became fashion's shakers and movers of their time.

The exhibition will focus on six influential figures of Stella Dare, Prue Acton, Lois Briggs, Jenny Bannister, Christopher Graf and Andreja Pejić.

Go back to the 1950s with Stella Dare's couture achievements; discover how Prue Acton became Australia's first international celebrity brand; view Jenny Bannister bold designs; explore the colour of Christopher Graf's designs; and find out more about Andreja Pejić's journey from a Broadmeadows refugee to a transgender supermodel.

The exhibition follows their paths to success and will include original garments from the designers and footage from catwalks, both old and new.
