Yoga with a twist - exercise with cats
This is Sydney's original cat cafe and they hold yoga classes each Thursday with cats! Yes, that's correct - cats! It is an exciting new concept in the wonderful exercise of yoga and makes it all that much more interesting.
This is being described as "for the ultimate physical and mental boost" and yoga is well known for achieving and improving your balance and breathing to reduce anxiety, fight off depression, strengthen one's core and possibly help ease chronic pain.
Spending just a short time with a cat is known to calm down one's nerves and help boost one's mood. Evidence has shown that when you spend time with a cat, your production of serotonin, which is a chemical that boosts feelings of wellbeing, rises and your cortisol levels go down.
At Catmosphere Cat Cafe, they have now combined yoga and cats in the one experience for the best physical and mental health boost! An instructor will be able to help you through yoga and in attendance will be more than 10 cats to help boost your mood.
The cats and kittens at Catmosphere are all animals that have been rescued and are looking for their forever homes. The people at Catmosphere are both experienced and can help house and look after these sweet felines while they search for a place to call home. And who knows - you may just end up going home with more than you came with!
There will be two separate classes held - one from 6.15 pm to 7.15 pm and the other from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm each Thursday. The cost of these lessons is $30 and they will go until Thursday 28th March 2019, with no class on Thursday 27th December 2019.
The address for the cat yoga is: 66 Foveaux St, Surry Hills

Cat Experience You can also have a cat experience only and this is for those who need a break from reality and their fast lifestyle in these busy times.
Adult cats are usually much calmer and more peaceful than their kitten counterparts, simply because they are older and less playful. This cat experience is perfect for those looking to de-stress, connect with cats in a safe space and leave with some added zen.
The cats of Catmosphere and cats, in general, are usually more active in the morning from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon and later in the evening from about 4.00 pm onwards.
So, don't miss out on this yoga experience - make your bookings today.
