Experience strength and serenity

Imagine resting in savasana and coming up with a business idea! That's exactly how the concept of Yoga37 came to owner and director Penny Wedesweiler who wanted to create a welcoming space to inspire beginner and experienced yogis, to focus on strengthening their physical and emotional well being.

Yoga37 Launch Weekend #BED
I was lucky enough to attend Yoga37's Launch Weekend in August. Entering the studio, I was greeted by friendly staff, and the house puppy! The yoga studio fits up to 40 yogis, and classes cater for all levels of experience. After sweating it out for an hour, we were warmly bid farewell with a gift bag filled with discount vouchers and samples of organic treats from local businesses; hard work rewarded with a free goodie bag, that's what I call motivational! Thank you Yoga37!

Yoga37 runs one hour vinyasa classes for first-time yogis to seasoned practitioners. This form of yoga is energetic and dynamic, where movements flow smoothly and are almost dance-like, held in a room heated to 37 degrees Celsius. Classes are run by different teachers, each having their unique style.

Try not to eat 1.5 hours before class, arrive well hydrated 10-15min prior to the class. Wear exercise clothing you're okay with sweating in, bring a towel and plenty of water. Complimentary mats, lockers, and showers, make it easy to schedule a class into anyone's busy daily schedule. Towels are available for hire for $2 each and water can be purchased for $2.50 per bottle.

Classes run 7 days a week, at 6:15 am and 5.30pm (M-F), with an additional 6.45 class (M-Th), and 2 classes on each day of the weekend, to keep you mentally and physically strong. Conviently located at 1-7 Emma Street, Collingwood, a short walk from the #86 tram stop after/before Johnston Street, along Smith Street.

Free beginners classes will commence on Saturdays in mid-September. New students are encouraged to take as many of these as needed. Free Yoga classes? Yes, you read right! Now there's no excuse to not introduce calmness into your life. Join Yoga37 today!

I had no idea yoga was such a serious workout! Might be a nice alternative to a brisk walk.

I have checked their website and Facebook page. It appears it is not 'free' at all. All I can see is $25 for an unlimited 2 week pass.
