Westfield Marion is a shopping mall that offers a range of services to its customers - practically anything that you're after (be it food, drink, clothes, shoes, gadgets or makeup) will be easily located in this well-designed space. It's a place that you can visit either solo, with a bunch of friends, and even with the family.

Focusing on one store, in particular, is the popular yoghurt shop on Level 1, which is located smack-bang in the centre of the mall, facing the cinema steps indoors.

is one of 13 stores across Australia that allows their customers to create their own version of frozen yoghurt with their choice of toppings. Operating on the principle of self-serve, one might initially find the process of how Yo-get-it works a bit intimidating. But, as has been witnessed over the past couple of months of observing, kids go absolutely crazy (in a good way!) over this small but fun-filled froyo joint!



I was fortunate enough to be given a run-through of how the system works by the lovely manager, Angus McArthur, and you know what - it's not that complicated once you know how it all works!

It's super easy - you start off by picking a small or large cup. Then, you opt for the flavour of your choice - there's chocolate, banana, French vanilla, mango, and strawberry. A pretty decent selection of sweet meets subtle. Then comes the best part - how you wish to decorate your silky, velvety froyo swirl! There are around 6-8 flavours to choose from and customers are welcome to mix and match to their palate's liking. Additionally, the store regularly changes things up by offering choices of flavours, such as cheesecake, Nutella, mango, and passionfruit.



The toppings selection is extensive, offering options of gummy bears, sprinkles, M&Ms, Oreo chunks, and much, much more! Everything from super healthy to super indulgent is displayed in a colourful array as you make your way from one end of the bar to the other.



While the froyo shop is a big hit with the kids, adults too are welcome to enjoy and take advantage of the delicious goodies here. The beautiful thing about getting a treat from here is that the price is based on the weight of your froyo cup. Want a little snack? Or something a bit more filling? No matter what your hunger level, you really do pay for what you desire (and get value for your money)!



Personally, I love the idea of having the opportunity to guess the weight of your froyo - if you get it right, your froyo's on the house! Yup, if you're a fan of free things, I suggest you give this one a shot. While there was no way I'd even know what number to guess, half the fun is based on tossing between the ideas (and the numbers), which adds to this experience of purchasing food a social and enjoyable one!

There is also an acai bowl menu that offers tantalising combinations of fresh fruit, granola, and flavour to bring you the ultimate healthy meal to kickstart your day, including the Acai breakfast bowl (pictured below), the pink pitaya, and the pink dragon fruit bowl.



may be a small space, but with their friendly customer service and the enticing flavours (and ways) of enjoying their smooth yoghurt, you'll be treated to a dessert fest with a touch of healthy (and have fun indulging in it).
