If you ever wanted to get fit, now is the time to try the YMCA Wellness program – free for a whole week.
Held at the YMCA studio, the wellness program helps people of all ages to not just become healthy, but also to become happy. Once you get stuck into the program, YMCA believes that you will start to feel motivated and start seeing some real results. And because of their confidence in the wellness program, YMCA is giving you the opportunity to test out the program completely free of charge for a week. There are ten specific classes that you can try as part of the wellness program, and each targets a different group of people and a different fitness level. The Masters in Motion class helps keep you physically fit, socially active, and your mind engaged. Consisting of 45-minute group sessions twice a week, these will include weight sessions (to improve bone density), movement sessions (to improve general wellbeing), flexibility and balance sessions (to improve neurological function), brain exercises (to keep your mind alert and healthy) and even includes personal nutritional advice. Please keep in mind that there are limited spaces available, as this provides for personal attention when you participate in the class.
Another class that is offered as part of the Wellness Program is Bootcamp YMCA. Unlike other fitness classes, this is one that takes place outdoors and challenges your body and mind. But don't be scared off by the name; this class caters for "all fitness levels from the beginner to the advanced", and includes a training session to get you started. It runs for an hour two or three times a week, and includes a personal and group challenge. You can even get health and fitness tips, as well as nutritional advice.
Of course, if you are looking for something more personal, then the One-on-One Personal Training class is for you. In this class, you set your goals, you decide how long it takes (whether a half hour or an hour session every once, twice or thrice a week), and you make a commitment to your body and your health. By personally training you with a variety of techniques, motivation for your wellbeing, and education for smarter lifestyle choices, you will be able to reach your goal with ease and confidence.
