The annual YMCA Half Marathon will be on this weekend, starting from Lennox Gardens in Yarralumla. On Saturday 21st of May it will be the fun day, with social runners and families competing in the 1.6k Mini Jog and a 5k Fun Run. The cost is $10 adults, $5 under 18s.

Sunday 22nd of May will be the Half Marathon, with runners taking on the scenic Lake Burley Griffin pathways for the 21km run. The Half Marathon is named in honour of Rex Foulkes who was a local distance runner, who died in a road accident returning to Cooma from Canberra after a race in 1970. Last year there were 458 entries in this esteemed race.
