Adults and children alike will be spellbound

Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company and WA Museum are proudly presenting the acclaimed Boodjar Kaatijin written by Ian Wilkes. Two performances only. Tickets now on sale.

Playing at Prendiville Performing Arts Centre on Friday 14th of July, 2017 at 10am and 1pm, this stunning production features state of the art puppetry, masks and glow in the dark elements which will delight children and adults alike.

Join Koorlbardi (magpie), Weitj (emu), Nyingarn (echidna) and their Koordah (friends) as they take you on a wild adventure into traditional legends of how the land was created.

The 45-mintue play is suitable for children aged 4 years and over and centres on a collection of four stories based on Noongar knowledge and storytelling. Audiences will learn about The First Sunrise; The Creation of Kings Park and How the Kangaroo Got It's Colour; How the Echidna Got Its Spikes; and The Creation of Wave Rock and the Stars.
