Yet Thai
Ying Thai Restaurant in North Richmond is arguably one of the best in town. This 20-seater casual eatery is known for constant authenticity since 1997. Their popularity is proven; the sister restaurant, Ying Thai 2, is a students' favourite in Carlton.

At this original family restaurant, the menu is extensive, inviting you to try some of the rather exotic dishes that are rare amongst Melbourne Thai restaurants. An example is chilli crab stir-fry. This is a messy dish, but rewards are in the spicy shells.

Vegetable stir-fry noodles are a recommendation, especially for anyone who prefers mild flavours. The thick noodles are chewy to your liking.

The wide variety of sweet soft drinks and desserts are not to be looked over. The selection goes beyond the usual, with Thai ice tea and coconut juice with thick coconut slices.

Ying Thai on Victoria Street

Ying Thai Restaurant's bright orange facade is easily found by car if you are going northward on Hoddle Street, passing Victoria Street / Parade. Cars can be parked on street in the neighborhood.
