Feeling a little tense and knotty, of late? The cold, winter months certainly can take a toll on our moods and physical wellbeing. It's worthwhile finding some techniques that will help you keep on top of your game until the energising sunshine returns. Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga, perfect for the winter months. The postures (asanas) are held for longer periods of time than other forms of yoga - for beginners, it may range from 45 seconds to two minutes; more advanced practitioners may stay in the one asana for five minutes or more.
The first free Yin Yoga class will be held at the upcoming Vegan Market of Melbourne, on the first Saturday of August. They will then continue at the monthly markets (check online first). The classes will focus on stress & anxiety release, and overall relaxation.
Aaron Schultz, who will be running the class, is a Yin Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Flow Coach and Meditation teacher. He is the author of A Wink from a Guru where he openly writes about his experience with anxiety and how he managed to overcome it. Aaron is passionate about helping others manage stress and anxiety, thereby reclaiming their personal power and their lives.
Come and join Aaron for a gentle, healing Yin Yoga class and slowly unwind from the stressors of everyday life. Mats for the class are provided or you can bring your own if you'd prefer. The class will run for 60 minutes and you can pay what you feel, on the day (Donation). There are only 30 spots available.
Located at the serene Abbotsford Convent gardens, during the monthly Vegan Market of Melbourne. After the class, you can then conveniently treat yourself to some deliciously healthy vegan foods and enjoy a stroll through the market and gardens.
