Modern Bangkok dining in the suburbs
It's been a while since my husband and I went out to a Thai Restaurant. The football season (round ball football) has just kicked off and we find ourselves with extra time prior to the start of his games with an appetite for Thai .

We like to seek out small little Thai restaurants knowing most times with get a decent feed. Rarely we end up with a bad meal.

So, the other night we were over in Yeronga and found ourselves at Yim Thai Restaurant.

We arrived just on opening time at 5pm and were greeted by friendly staff who were happy for us to try one of their newest menu item, stir fried barramundi fillets in a garlic and basil sauce topped with crispy fried basil leaves ($20) So glad we went with her recommendation as it was one of the best Thai dishes that we had tasted.

Our other selections were Fish cakes ($7) for entree and Prawn green curry ($ 19.90)

Yim Thai boasts modern Bangkok dining in 2 Brisbane locations, Yeronga and Middle Park. It is fully licenced with wines and Thai beers as well as BYO wine.

The place and setting is quite simple but what took my eye was a hand painted wall featuring the Bangkok cityscape which was apparently painted by Thai artist, Pariwat Anantachina.

Opened for lunch from Monday to Saturday and for dinner, 7 days a week, Yim Thai offers both dine in and take away with both indoor and outdoor dining areas.

My husband and I were very satisfied and grateful with our dining experience. We are always happy to discover great places to eat when travelling to watch our son play football.

We get the pleasure and opportunity to explore many suburbs of Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba due to his football game taking us to these places.

So stay tuned and hopefully we get to share some great little places to have a bite to eat around the great South East.

I live at Yeronga and I just love Yim Thai Restaurant. Always take my friends there. They have been impressed by the amount of food you get and the prices. Definitely a great place for a casual meal. KšŸ˜Š
