It's lovely to come across a community-friendly cafe. The at Stocklands Shopping centre, Caloundra, right outside Coles, is such a cafe. First, you notice the Community Cup Wall. Regulars can bring their own mug and add it to the shelves with their name underneath. They certainly add an ambience to the cafe.



Finding a spare seat can be a wee bit challenging at times, but hover for a few minutes and someone is sure to leave. While I was there having my coffee and cake, there were two groups of very mature age women enjoying their time socialising with each other. This was a regular event I am sure.



Free WiFi is available for those that cannot be without it. The cafe even has its own FB page. There you can check out their regular specials. But how good is their Hour of Power! Twice a day you can get a $3 cup of coffee. There is always a great selection of delicious homemade cakes to choose from.



Whether you are just calling in for their famous Merlo coffee or a snack or a meal you will always be made very welcome.
