is situated in Gungahlin, 20 minutes north of the city. The large playground and BBQ area can be accessed from Wunderlich street with plenty of parking, so you don't have to walk far with your esky or your kids. It is a green and leafy park around a pond that has a range of fun activities for all ages. Near the carpark is a colourful pirate ship playground under shade - perfect for little pirates and toddlers to climb all over. There is also a Liberty Swing for adults and children in wheelchairs. This playground is conveniently located close to the BBQ area and picnic tables so parents can cook and keep an eye on their kids in the playground.

For older kids and adults there is a huge flying fox, with a platform to jump off from to gain the most momentum. This would have to be the largest flying fox in Canberra - and the largest I have ever seen!

Pack your kids bikes, scooters or skateboards so they can enjoy riding on the bike paths and then try out some tricks at the large skate bowl at the park.

If your kids enjoy playing basketball or handball, there is also a large basketball court to play on next to the skate bowl.

When everyone is tired out, settle down at one of the several free BBQs around the park. There is an undercover BBQ area which is handy on a hot Summer's day for shade or if it looks like rain. There are also other BBQs by the lake with picnic tables nearby.

If you are at the playground on a Saturday morning you may notice a number of runners participating in the Gungahlin Parkrun, a 5km run around Yerrabi Pond. See here for more details if interested.
