Some time ago a friend suggested that we go to Yelo. I'd heard good things about this café and I too thought we should give it a go, so the other week we headed off to Yelo for breakfast.

When we arrived the place was very busy and we had trouble finding a table inside so we quickly grabbed a table on the deck overlooking the ocean.

There are many options on the breakfast menu at Yelo and they aim to provide quality organic food. The good thing is that they are all fresh and healthy and the prices are reasonable. There are a variety of wraps, sandwiches, muffins, slices and snacks as well as hot beverages and fruit smoothies and juices.

We had trouble choosing but eventually ordered their specialty - an egg and bacon wrap ($11.00), a mushroom and egg wrap ($11.00), a bacon and egg roll ($11.00) and three coffees ($4.20 each). The wraps were slightly toasted which made them a bit crunchy, the roll was fresh and crusty, and they were all exceedingly good. The egg was light and fluffy and the bacon and mushrooms were lightly fried, fresh and tasty.

The coffee at Yelo was extremely good too, very creamy and strong. They use Fiori coffee, which is an award winning Western Australian roasting company. Fiori provide a variety of roasted specialty coffees to Yelo where they are freshly ground and the coffee is freshly brewed to order.

The menu is full of healthy food options and for lunch they offer a range of wraps, paninis and bagels with a choice of fillings such as roast beef, smoked salmon and Cajun chicken. They sound really tasty and are, according to one of the other patrons, very popular.

Yelo has a range of eco-friendly products for sale and they also sell newspapers, magazines, fresh organic bread, gifts, cards and beach accessories. Kids are always welcome and there is a section at the back full of toys so the kids can play while the parents enjoy a coffee.

Located in Trigg, right opposite the beach and the Trigg break, Yelo has a casual, relaxed atmosphere and is a very popular spot. It's always busy, people drop by straight from the beach after a surf or a swim and even your dog is welcome. The view of the golden sand and the clear blue ocean is breathtaking.

Open 7 days a week from 6.30am till 5pm they are always busy with people wanting an early morning coffee. You can even text your order in and they will have it ready and waiting for you.
