Sydneysiders will be in for a treat this January with the brand-new developmental works from cutting-edge First Peoples talent, including ground-breaking works from First Peoples storytellers, and two live-panel discussions.
The Yellamundie Festival is the only festival in Australia that showcases, identifies, develops, new First Peoples stories through stage and seen ten featured works go on to full production in Australia.

The festival will showcase live performance art forms, ranging from playwright, composing and choreography, with industry forums.
Performances will include:
The Lookout, a playwright/ text performance by Dalara Williams.
Waterholes, a dance/movement/choreography performance by Shana O'Brien.
The First Shot, a composition/ sound performance by Troy Russell.
Gumbirrangarroo Dalanngarro (Longest Time Right Now, a composition/ sound performance by Brad Steadman and Mark Ross.

The live-panel discussions will include:
Ticketed Meet The Artists Panel which will showcase the voices of Yellamundie Festival 2021.
Free live-streamed Yawarra (Dramaturgy) International First Nations Panel featuring renowned First Peoples theatre practitioners from Australia, Aotearoa (New Zealand) and Turtle Island (Canada).

Other performances will be shown virtually in February and March due to the border restrictions.
Please note that mask-wearing is compulsory and all performances will be Covid-safe following NSW Health advice, with social distancing, strict cleaning measures.
