Bangsar, I think, is the place for all comfort food. All my favourite restaurants are there and Yeast is definitely somewhere on top of that list.
Yeast is a restaurant run by a French man; everything made by a French patisserie will of course taste good. I tried their 'chausson aux pommes' which basically meant apple turnovers, and I found myself being drawn to that cafe over and over again, for that alone.
I also tried their eggs florentine and I have to admit, I wish I ate it in bed with my pyjamas on. It reminded me of cosy Sunday mornings spent in bed and it was brilliant. The two eggs were cooked just right that they burst into a yolky mess when poked with a fork and I loved every spoonful of it. The eggs florentine was served with a brioche, which was made that morning in the cafe.
The eggs benedictine also gives me something to rave about. I love their hollandaise sauce; it isn't too thick and yolky, but it's not too runny and thin either. Their poached egg was nice and the yolk was still runny. The English muffin was of course, made that morning and the smoked salmon was as good as a fresh catch.
One last thing; their ambiance is truly welcoming, people chatting and eating with lounge music in the background. It feels very chic especially with their yellow, red black decor.
I definitely recommend this place, for anything at all. Even for supper, though I'm not sure whether they open till midnight.
