It's finally September, meaning that it is officially SPRING TIME! And what better to celebrate the coming of a new and beautiful season than with a family fun day... featuring plants and dogs?! Hosted by Bones Society and AWLQLD, the YEAH Spring event will take place on Saturday 23rd September, and will definitely be a fun day out for the whole family - furbabies included! The event kicks off at 10am and keeps going until 2pm, making for an adventure filled arvo filled in the most beautiful location. If you've yet to pay a visit to The Borrowed Nursery, you're in for a real treat. Let's just say that if you're looking to get that perfect shot for Instagram, you'll need to come along on the 23rd. Need. As part of a converted warehouse-esque space, filled to the brim with a wide variety of potted plants placed artfully by a white brick wall, The Borrowed Nursery really is a sight to behold, especially for the plant lovers out there.

Speaking of photography, there will also be a professional photographer, Samara Leung from MARA Visuals, on site to help you capture an amazing shot of your pup. All dog owners will know how hard it is to take good photos of them, especially when they're having a good time out! Check out Samara's amazing work here, for a taste of what you can expect from the day.

There will be heaps of plants available for purchase from The Borrowed Nursery, who stock a bespoke collection of potted plants. As a fun fact, the nursery also has a service where customers can actually borrow plants rather than buy them - hence the name of the place! "This plant obsession is an evolving trend that has grown through social influences such as environmental concerns as well as lifestyle and the human desire to connect with nature."
There will also be designer pet accessories from Bones Society available for purchase. "Our world revolves around our pets; we know a house is not a home without a furry sidekick." Created by two like-minded designers, Bones Society was established as a society that is not only a brand, but is also a lifestyle - standing for innovation, quality, style, and design that "you would be proud to own".

And don't forget refreshments! The Pawty Barkery have kindly donated a whole box of their amazing pupcakes to the fundraiser! First in best dressed.. or should I say best fed? The first 10 pooches who turn up on the day will be the ones lucky enough to nab one of two yummy flavours of pupcakes; Apple & Bacon, or Peanut Butter & Banana. Being fashionably late may be the cool thing to do... but not when The Pawty Barkery pupcakes are involved!
Eddy and Sam love their pupcakes from The Pawty Barkery!
This event was organised to help raise vital funds for Animal Welfare League Queensland, a charity founded on the Gold Coast in 1959 with the core mission of rehoming abandoned and surrendered companion animals. Across the four rehoming centres in South East Queensland, AWLQ cares for up to 17,500 animals each year, with a zero euthanasia policy on all healthy, treatable, and sociable animals; giving them the best possible chance of finding a furever home and of course, having a second chance at life.
Support them on the day by:
1. Getting a photo taken of your pooch, for a small donation. 2. Purchase products from Bones Society - 10% of every purchase goes towards AWLQLD.
