Yatla Drive In

Wondering what you are going to do now that the nights are getting cooler? Stuck for ideas for a family night out? Tired of the same old thing?

Have you tried the Drive-In? Opened in 1974, the Yatala Drive In is a modern twist with old-school history. The last open air Drive In Theatre in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, it screens over 90 movies per year. You can pack a picnic or buy your treats when you arrive.

With three fields, and options for Movie Marathons, you can use the Traditional Speakers and/or upgrade to the FM Car Stereo for your surround sound. Bring your blankets and enjoy the fresh outdoors with friends and family.

At the moment they have a range of movies playing including Divergent, The Lego Movie and Amazing Spider-man 2:

Prices are reasonable - one movie $13 adults, $7 children and kids under 5 watch for free.

A few points to remember:
1. Make it comfy. Take pillows, rugs, etc
2. It's Cash only. There is an ATM in the cafe
3. Get there early to bag a good spot

Come on. Give it a go. Be part of history. Before the Drive-In really is a thing of the past.
