The Leigh Catchment Group (LCG) is a network of eight Landcare groups in the Corangamite region of South West Victoria.

As part of the 'Breathing Life Back into the Yarrowee' project, the Leigh Catchment Group is celebrating National Tree Day on 31 July with a tree planting day on the Yarrowee River.

Celebrating 20 years of National Tree Day, this is an opportunity to do something positive for your local environment and community and to reconnect with nature. Since the first National Tree Day in 1996, there have been 22.3 million plants and trees have been planted.

Lunch will be provided at the end of the planting and with some free children activities.

As its cold in Ballarat during winter please bring warm clothes, sturdy footwear and BYO gloves.

Come and celebrate National Tree Day with the Leigh Catchment Group on 31 July from 10.00am to midday.
