If you are a Ballarat resident, you would be quite aware that the Yarrowee River is steeped in history.

On 22 June, between 10.00am and 12.00pm, The Ballarat City Council in conjunction with the Leigh Catchment Group and the Corangamite Catchment Management Authority are holding a community planting day on the Yarrowee River.

The day is part of the an ongoing project to "Breathing Life Back into the Yarrowee" which aims to restore and clean up sections of the river.

Participants are asked to bring their own gloves and wear appropriate clothing for Ballarat's weather.

If you would like to be involved in this project, meet at the Yarrowee River behind the old mill, off Hill Street you will be enhancing previous revegetation works.

Come and help rejuvenate the Yarrowee River in Ballarat on 22 June by planting trees from 10.00am to 12.00pm.
