Just one and a half hours out of Melbourne and nestled in the foothills of the Strezlecki Ranges with vistas of rolling green hills, you will find Yarragon Village. The iconic old steam train permanently set at the end of the main street, so you can't miss it!

A charming and friendly country town with an abundance of delightful shops and eateries to satisfy all taste buds from fresh and healthy to deliciously decadent and everything in between.

Stroll up the main street to choose from an array of shopping experiences in one of the many specialty shops Yarragon is renowned for - art, craft, giftware, clothing and accessories, new age or homewares (modern, vintage, antique, retro). It's all here!

People come from far and wide to savour the extensive range of wine, beer, coffee, fresh local produce and cheeses. If you're a sweet tooth like me, the lolly shop on the corner has chocolate, lollies and ice cream available too. Yarragon Village is the central point of Gippsland Gourmet Country!

Yarragon has a population of approx. 1525 (census 2011). If you have time to explore further, I recommend going to the next town of Trafalgar, where you will find more shops, churches and op shops!
