The Yarra Valley Oktoberfest is a huge celebration that engages the community to the max because the reserved tables in the indoor beer hall have already sold out! All the tickets that are left are general release, you could reserve a wine barrel with 4 stools for your Oktoberfest crew to perch at all day, or reserve a table in the outdoor beer garden for the entire day and include 8 general release tickets. Come along in your lederhosen and dirndl to celebrate the world's largest beer festival on Saturday 26 October from 12 noon at Yarra Valley Oktoberfest, 27-29 Market St, Lilydale. There are beers and pretzels aplenty at the Lilydale Showgrounds for one massive Munich-inspired party. You'll find a great lineup of beers with traditional Oktoberfest brews (find the list on the event page ), alongside local favourites. Wine, schnapps and cocktails are also available. The main stage will have the traditional Oompah band and DJ, percussion and saxophone set, plus a roving brass band. There are plenty mouth mouth-watering Bavarian delights to be had, including bratwurst and more. Naturally, there are going to be competitions for best dressed, stein holding, pretzel eating and more. Head to the stage when the emcee Pat Boucher announces the competitions to enter.
