Is this the best eggs benedict in the Yarra Valley?
A breakfast visit to the Yarra Valley Deli and Cafe provided me with one of the best eggs Benedict breakfast's I've ever had. I am practically salivating now just thinking of it.
It consisted of crusty toasted bread topped with the most delicious ham I've had the pleasure to eat, perfectly poached eggs, and was dripping with creamy fantastic tasting Hollandaise sauce and a smattering of parsley. Oh, and I added a side of crunchy hash brown just because I could - extra naughty.
The breakfast was so scrumptious, I am still thinking about it ages later.
Of course I could have also gone the Zucchini and Corn Fritters with smashed avocado, chilli jam and poached egg, and maybe I will next time. Although, that eggs benedict will be calling to me like a wicked temptress, I just know it!
The Yarra Valley Deli and Cafe also offers a varied lunch selection including a mini grazing platter and pulled pork sliders with fresh slaw for those with midday or afternoon hunger pangs.
It is a pleasant spacious cafe with good service and, even better, it is a handy stop for brekkie or lunch.
Conveniently located on the Warburton Highway in Wandin North, it is open weekdays 7am - 5pm and open from around 9am on weekends.
