Take a drive to the beautiful Yarra Valley on the weekend of 23-24 April to take care of all your autumn gardening needs. The will feature a wide variety of plants, including autumn flowers and foliage. There will be over 30 stall holders, selling more than 5000 varieties of plants, including rare and special varieties.

Also on hand will be landscape and urban gardening specialists to share their knowledge.



Paul Kirkpatrick, horticultural consultant, writer and lecturer will deliver a talk full of tips and advice on garden tools. Stephen Ryan, an award-winning Australian horticulturalist and media personality, will speak about rare plants for urban gardens.

Horticulturist and media personality Vasili Kanidiadis will talk about edible home gardens, as well as passing on some top gardening tips.



Peter Teese, horticulturalist and rare plant expert, will run through his favourite garden trees and share his knowledge about suitable trees for every garden.

Note that these special guest speakers will present on each day of the Plant Fair. A roaming demonstration stage will also run throughout the weekend. You can find the full program here .



On Sunday, there will be a special plant auction where rare and precious plants will be auctioned. At the last fair a special Monstera "Thai Constellation" was won by a lucky bidder.



For those looking to make it a day out, ample free parking is available and dogs on leads are welcome. Food, local wine and other beverages will be available throughout the weekend, as well as door prizes.

The Plant Fair will take place at Romantic Nursery, 125 Quayle Road, Wandin, from 10am - 5pm on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th April.

Tickets are available at the gate: $16 adult, $12 concession (single day entry), child under 14 free . Discounted tickets, including multi-day tickets and couples' passes are available online here .
