I am always looking out for new experiences, wherever I may find myself.
Published November 5th 2015
The Yamba River Markets are held at Ford Park on the fourth Sunday of every month, from 9.00am to 2.00pm. They're quite big and busy, with more than 100 stalls.

There is more variety in the stalls than I expected here (I thought an overwhelming amount would focus on the beach lifestyle of Yamba). Products on sale when I visited included plants, furniture, jewellery, clothes, homewares, secondhand books, takeaway food, fresh produce (some of this cheaper than the supermarkets) and more.

There's live music to enjoy as well and the markets even coincide with a live music cruise run by Yamba River Ferries. It departs at from the part at 11.00am and returns at 3.00pm, costing $30.00 per person ($25.00 for pensioners and half price for children).

You will find Ford Park by Yamba Bay, next to the Calypso Holiday Park. Make sure you don't make the same mistake I did and think all the tents at Calypso are an extension of the markets (from far away, it's deceiving) or you'll end up disappointed when the stalls end early than you expect.
