Dim Sum has never looked better! If you're new to Perth or just have not had the opportunity to grace the Yamato Kaiten Sushi establishment, then this should be the highlight of your Saturday afternoon.
Located in Claremont, Yamato Kaiten is essentially a Sushi Train with an ingenious twist; fresh steaming hot Dim Sum on the rotating train to entice your palate. I've never seen dim sum on a sushi train before so from the on set I was impressed.
At 1.30pm in the afternoon the booths and communal style dining spots were bustling with hungry customers. The staff were very friendly and were quickly working to clear the tables to seat the line of waiting customers. Tick for efficiency, there was no dawdling in sight.
This style of eating is quite a fast affair and by 2.00pm when we were taking our leave, the restaurant crowd was definitely thinning out. Therefore I suggest that you take a leisurely stroll through Claremont and enjoy a late afternoon lunch at Yamato Kaiten. My favourites were the prawn dumplings and the scallop dumplings.
As a devout foodie and an avid Dim Sum lover, I recommend you check this place out and give me your feedback.
