Xtreme Air is a huge indoor facility located in Keysborough with thousands of metres of interconnected trampolines that line the walls and floors. There are designated areas with various activities. There is one large free jump area that has a floor filled with trampolines. The trampolines even curve up the wall so you can bounce off of it.

Another area has foam pit lanes so you jump to your heart's content, do some kind of flip, and land in the safety of soft, absorbent foam cubes.

There are also trampoline dodgeball courts and a trampoline slam dunk area for you to bounce your way to a hoop and practice your dunking.

We visited this trampoline playground for a school friend's party which was well run. On arriving, the kids were given their wrist bands and special Xtreme Air grip socks and told to take off any jumpers before their jumping session. There was a dedicated and very fit party host who remained with the group at all times. Our party started with the kids going to the foam pits, then working their way through the dodgeball courts, the freeplay area and ending off with a play at the slam dunk area. The kids also got to see some of the talented trampoline staff do some rather complex flips on the foam pits and the slam dunk areas. Their cool moves gave the kids something to aspire to.

We had a group of 5 year olds and they were just full of energy and big smiles throughout the session. There are no height restrictions which was good as there are a few smaller kids in the group. Most kids were rosy cheeked by the end of the jumping session which lasts for about an hour. There is a water station where the kids could go to for a quick rehydration break. Most kids did opt for a quick sip.

We all headed back to the party room where the kids were served shoestring French fries, party pies, sausage rolls and soft drinks. After singing happy birthday, the kids indulged in some birthday cake (supplied by the parents), and still had space for the decadent ice cream Sundaes.

There is parking in front of the centre and side roads. The centre itself was very big and well spaced out. There is a cafe area which serves snacks and coffee and has a relatively decent menu, although we didn't get a chance to actually sample the food. There is ample room for families, parents or friends to sit and chat while the kids are at play. Toilet facilities are available.

Given the big size of the centre, the acoustics were not all that great, given that you really have to speak quite loudly to be heard. The only other thing that could be improved is the party room itself. Although it is definitely big enough to comfortably fit a party of 28 kids and a few parents too, the rooms were just a little too white with no party decor at all.

The trampoline party birthday idea is great and Xtreme Air is a recommended option as a venue. It is really hassle free as parents don't have to worry about catering or cleaning up or providing any entertainment. They just see their kids literally jumping for joy and enjoying time with their friends.
