Violence against women is a silent epidemic. In Australia one woman is killed every week by a current or former partner, and the Australian Bureau of Statistics report that one in three Australian women have experienced violence against them at some point in their life.
However, the Xoticar International Women's Day Luncheon on March 7th will not just focus on the insidious nature of violence against women, but instead will celebrate the strength of women with an inspirational line-up of special guests that include performers and fashion designers.
Support the campaign to end violence against women
Hosted by Momentum Forum Events, the team behind iconic charitable events such as the Pink Ribbon Ball and Men in Black Ball, the International Women's Day Luncheon held at Crown Perth aims to raise awareness, promote networking and inspire action. It will also be a glamorous event with a three course, gourmet lunch and a fashion parade by local designer Ruth Tarvydas.
This year the special guest speaker is Ms Cynthia A. Griffin, the US Consul General in Perth, while Dana Vulin, a victim of violence herself, will share her journey of survival as the testimonial speaker. Other highlights include a performance by award winning singer Nez Erok and that white dress made famous by Lady Sonia McMahon in 1971.
The Xoticar International Women's Day Luncheon offers the opportunity to be supportive of a worthy charity and a worthwhile campaign, while still being able to enjoy the luxury and glamour of a five star event. Be the first to find out who will be presented the Most Inspiring Woman of the Year Award and who has been voted as the Face of Momentum 2014.
Tickets are available now from $155 per person for a standard ticket (price includes gourmet lunch, fashion parade and entertainment) or $2,500 for a VIP Table of ten.
Be seen at this event and support the campaign for the prevention of violence against women.
