Rookies and Fitness Fanatics Obstacle Training
With the growth in obstacle racing and people wanting to push their fitness limits Baldivis has installed a permanent obstacle course with a session every other Sunday night from 4pm to 5.30pm.
Obstacle racing has become an expensive hobby for people, but this is only $30 to go for the afternoon under the watchful eye of Ex British Military Ted. He encourages and teaches you round this short course with about 20-25 obstacles per lap and varying options on the number of laps and challenges within each lap.
The run is timed to allow you to have something to beat each time you attend, but it's not just for serious racers if you are wanting it just as a fitness session or a bit of fun with friends the atmosphere is fun and inclusive whether you are a rookie or a regular. People are always willing to help you along the way or teach you different techniques like rope climbing.
You always end the session feeling pooped and proud of yourself as the course is ever evolving and pushing you.
It's nice to go with friends for morale support but within 10 seconds of arriving, you will be friends with the rest of the group there.
I am yet to try out the other sessions held by Baldivis Fitness as I live in central Perth, but it is always worth the trip and an excellent finisher to your weekend on a Sunday night before the dreaded back to work that Monday holds.
