At the beginning of 2015 Xavier Rudd launched a project he has dreamed about for a long time: to create a full-blown dub record, backed by an eight-piece international all-star band. Moving from a long and successful solo career, Xavier Rudd has enlisted a lineup of musicians from around the world as a one-people musical force and created a new album Nanna.

Launching themselves first on Australian soil, Xavier Rudd & The United Nations embarked on a sold-out national tour in March which took them to every capital city, then finishing in a triumphant homecoming at the Byron Bay Bluesfest.

Xavier Rudd and the United Nations then hit the globe. Establishing themselves as one of the best live bands in the world, they took their music to sold out shows across North America and then Europe.

In partnering with his first full band, Xavier Rudd has ventured into new musical territory, while still staying true to his musical roots. This is another remarkable achievement to add to his already amazing career and firmly consolidates his position as one of Australia's greatest artists, activists and spirits.

Nanna is the most dynamic album of Xavier Rudd's career. The album's music is amazingly uplifting and has been described by Rolling Stone as a "beautiful celebration of a global sound".

The single 'Flag' has been mixed by the legendary Errol Brown. Deemed the perfect representation of the spirit within Xavier Rudd & The United Nations, it is a passionate call to unite, wrapped in pure Tuff Gong authenticity. They feel it is the perfect song to take to the people.

Xavier Rudd said, "In a time when Australia is digging deep, marching together and standing strong for our threatened communities in the Northwest and simply the long awaited need for positive change for reconciliation in our country, I feel the spirit of this band is very important. This album, this tour, this family, The United Nations is an example energetically & spiritually of where we need to be as a nation." He said, "We will be touring regional places in Australia .in order to deliver this message and celebrate the energy of one people with our fellow Australians."
