Make way to Wynnum for a day of op shop heaven
I often set off on adventures in search of the best places to find the best bargains. As my friends would tell you, I'm not happy with just a markdown or saving, I'm only happy if I'm paying $5 or less for a piece of clothing or handbag.
Last Saturday, I set off early (and I mean early as in 10am) to Wynnum; determined to find bargains with my best bargain hunter mate. I had done my research prior and with my most treasured list in hand, I knew there was a bunch of Op Shops in Wyynum ready to be rummaged.
Now, you can't just go shopping with anyone, it is important to choose your shopping buddy carefully; 1. Make sure they have asimilar shopping style to you.
2. The best friends to shop with are the ones that will go to a shop with you but once there, part ways to explore what they like and come back to you when they need your opinion or to offer a suggestion. 3. They must be someone who will be honest when you are trying clothes on and can tell you when clothing makes your bum look big, without being insulting.
Although I was surprised to see some shops closed on a Saturday (and dumbfounded by the choices of these businesses), there was enough open to be more than satisfied and make the trip worthwhile. We parked on a side street off the main street (Bay Terrace) and began to follow our itinerary with the first shop we saw and then just did a big loop from there...
