The inaugural Wynnum Central Art, Craft, Vintage and Retro Market will be held on Saturday 5 October along Edith Street, Wynnum Central from 9am to 4pm.



The markets will feature art, craft, vintage and retro; a theme that fits right in with the eclectic collection of specialty traders that Wynnum is known for.



The market will be in Edith Street itself, which will be closed off to traffic from the junction with Bay Terrace.

Many shops in Wynnum will be extending their opening hours on the day and some will have special offers for market goers.

Visitors will be given a map of the market area, showing where Wynnum Central retailers are located, including some who are off the main Edith Street shopping strip. The map will feature a 'treasure hunt' with a $150 shopping voucher prize, where you'll need to go into a number of the retailers to pick up the clues.



The markets will continue on the first Saturday of each month and are the first of a planned series of weekend events to be held in Wynnum Central, to draw visitors in from near and far.
