Arriving in a new country must be daunting enough without trying to make friends and find ways to enjoy your new country's culture. The Victorian Cultural Association (VCA) was established to celebrate cultural diversity within the community and Australia. The organisation is non-for-profit business providing FREE community events, mainly in the west of Victoria where the current demand and growth is situated.
One of these events is the
Wyndham Holi , which is a multi-cultural event where all communities of different nationalities come together in peace and harmony as one. The festival presents an exquisite picture of Australia's enhancement and welcoming of multiculturalism. This event is now in its fifth year and is an alcohol-free, family event.
Local organisations, associations, the Wider Ethnic Community and VCA work together on the event to ensure all cultures and ideas are shared to bring to the day something for everyone as an understanding of other cultures is very benefiting to the local community.
There will be plenty of family fun with non-stop entertainment, DJ's and live performances, food stalls, market stalls and kids rides. Included in the entertainment is dancing, playing with colours, games and networking while you explore the traditions and cultures there on the day.
The VCA
is also supporting the
Werribee Mercy Hospital "Mercy Foundation" and are happy to work with other foundations to raise awareness and funds.
will be held on Saturday 23rd March 2019 from 11.00am to 8.00pm at Presidents Park is found in McGrath Road, Werribee. The event is free to all. If you require further information, you can call 0410 614 111 or check out their
