Diwali is one of the most coveted and colourful festivals of India. This festival of light marks the victory of good over evil and represents celebration of life, its enjoyment and goodness. Diwali Festival will be celebrated with great grandeur on 18 October 2014 at the President's Park in Werribee. Aimed at promoting community bonds and amalgamation of people from different cultural backgrounds, Wyndham Diwali Festival will be more than just an Indian festival.

The highlight of the festival will be the exquisite live musical and dance performances showcasing the diverse traditions and cultures from all corners of India. Other crowd pleasers will include kid's activities and food stalls serving aromatic and flavourosme Indian fare. There will be a 'Diwali mela' (mela means fair) where market stalls will be selling Indian merchandise such as jewelry and traditional dresses.



Diwali Festival in its core is a Hindu Festival but it is largely a cultural festival where all are welcome regardless of race and religion. Victorian state Government, City West Water and Westside Honda are the proud sponsors of the Wyndham Diwali Festival which will be presented by the Wyndham Diwali organisation.
